Captain’s Log May 7 – A nice relaxing day! Different couples went to some markets in the area and one couple had to go home for a Dr. visit, but we spent time chatting in our shelter. Mike came over and I helped him re-attach the frame around one TV that the audio guys left undone. Then Bill and I cleaned out and organized our tool box. That was our “work” for the day.
I had a couple of calls to make and got them out of the way. One was to the company that writes our navigation system software. She sent me a link to download the newest information and it went very smoothly. I inserted the SD card back in and it opened up and I put in a city on our way and it worked great. Hopefully it will keep up from getting lost or on the wrong roads!!
We’re trying to get organized and still have more “stuff” than we have space for. No groceries will be bought til a lot is eaten! As it was I pitched a lot from home that had been in the bad of the cabinets for a couple of years!
Bill ordered brisket for our group dinner tonight and picked it up at 5:00. Everyone brought side dishes and we waited for the Barmores to return from the doctor visit and we had a delicious meal. One of the best I think! Like we always do, the group just sat and told stories as one story leads to another and we really have a good time together.
It took a long time for the sun to get low enough that we broke up and went home.
