Wonderful Wildlife

Bill's new boot
June 8 - What a horrible night we had! Bill's foot was in pain and I got up several times to get ice and help him get it on his foot. It turned colder out than we expected so it was chilly. We were both exhausted and today was a work day. We had planned to leave at 10:30 to go pick up the hubcap for the RV but did not happen. Bill didn't get up until after 10. He went from the bed last night to the couch and then back to the bed.

My crushed hummingbird feeder
When I looked out this morning I saw my hummingbird feeder in pieces and smashed and my regular bird feeder still hanging but all bent. Apparently we had a visitor last night. I confirmed with our neighbors and they said there was a bear around 2 AM. I won't bother to hang another feeder here. They say it's because the bears have just come out of hibernation and are hungry as they didn't bother my feeders when we were here last time but that was in August.

Once we were both up and had breakfast I got my shower and went into Stuarts Draft to the Cheese Shop and Food Lion. I specifically went to get sour cream but I did pick up a few other things on my list. I got back just in time to get us some lunch and pack our bags for work.

The Coke man finally came this morning and I had 11 cases of soda, water and tea to load into the machine outside.  They have a wagon for us to use to take the sodas out.  I had a few issues, but got things resolved and it’s now up and running.  Apparently I got the labeling correct as we gave change several times today for the machine and no one complained of not getting the right soda.  It took me about 90 minutes to do it.

We had a few customers today and it went pretty fast.  I dust mopped and then mopped the floor with my RV mop.  It sure gets nasty!

I made use of my down time to type up the last 2 days of blog.  Only got to read a couple of chapters today.  Our neighbors Ray and Sue came down at the end of the day and we visited with them.  They told us about Silk Road so now I think the 4 of us are going to go one night.

I poured a glass of wine and made the chicken enchiladas and a small salad
The deer next door
for each of us.  It was very tasty and we have enough for another night so that’s always good.  Just as we were finishing dinner I spotted a deer behind our side neighbors.  Then they got home and I went out to tell them and there were actually 2 so we all got our cameras out!

I managed to get some blog posted and balance my checkbook before “Royal Pain” came on, which by the way is its last season.
