June 4 - Once we finished
breakfast Bill supervised me on flushing the black tank this morning. One more thing I can do! Then I made a batch of brownies and took some
to Sue and Ray. Then I swept and mopped
the tile floor and vacuumed our dab of carpet.
We had a sunny on and off day today which meant the beach wouldn’t be
terribly crowded. Too bad some of the
best days are during the week! Not much
went on. There was a copperhead snake
spotted on a trail that runs behind our RV and once it was reported they came
with the snake box and captured it and moved it further out in the wilderness. The campground was pretty full but the day
use area wasn’t so much. There were
customers waiting when we arrived to open at 2.
We met some nice folks today and answered as many questions as we could
but it wasn’t a big money making day. We
sold our first ice. Of course before we
had it delivered we had tons of requests!
Too bad the place is so poorly stocked or we’d be busy all day.
Our neighbor brought over a pumpkin pie (for Bill). They decided they had more “sweets” from the
leftover church food than they could eat.
Not like we needed it but glad I don’t like pumpkin pie! We had leftover chicken, but I did make fresh
corn on the cob and broccoli. With the
brownies and the pie we were good to go on desserts.
The weather kicked up about 10 and we lost the tv signal so we just read
the rest of the evening. It was pouring
when we went to bed, poor tent campers!
