August 3 – We got up and ate breakfast. We decided to take a bike ride around the campground. Once we got riding we found that the path was very hilly and at times too difficult to peddle and we had to walk our bikes up the hill. Not sure we will try that again.
After lunch we left for Cartersville. We took the back country roads to get to there. It was an experience taking those small roads that Bill does not like driving on. We saw hardly any cars on the way to Cartersville or on the way home.  We visited with Kelly’s aunt Bonnie and her husband Dude. They also have two dogs, Suzie a Jack Russell, and Jack a Boxer. Dude found Jack along side the road in 2009. He brought him home and he has become a family member. We went to see Kelly’s Grandfather’s house before Bonnie sells it. It is in great shape.  We looked at Bonnie’s old house, which was Kelly’s family’s home before they moved to Ohio. The man that bought it does not take good care of it.  It looks like it has been weeks since he cut the grass.
Kelly's family and us
We picked up Dude on the way to dinner with some of Bonnie’s children. We ate at an Italian/ Mexican restaurant in Cumberland. The food was good. Bill had Calzone and a salad.  Kelly had chicken scaloppini and her portion was huge and included a side of spaghetti. At the dinner was also Bonnie’s daughter Claudia and her fiance Mark, her daughter & her boy friend, Bonnie’s other daughter Traci and her husband Steve and her daughter “Weasel” and her fiancĂ©, TJ.  It was a short visit but it was good to see everyone.
Once we got back to Bonnie’s it was time to make the drive back.  We did make a stop at the Louisa McDonald’s for a soft serve.  This is getting out of control!!  We got home around 9:30.

    1. I wish I had a good reply to that, but that's about the only treats I have. Now that we're further away from town they will be fewer I'm sure.
