Dull Day

August 13 -   I surprised Bill with cranberry scones with bacon this morning.  I was tired of eggs.   It was raining when we got up so waited for it to level off before heading out to clean and rake our 2 sites.  I managed to get out of raking today.  Actually Bill did one and didn’t know the other one left and before he realized there was a new camper there. 

 

It wasn’t a very nice day out.  The sun finally appeared mid-afternoon.  I took a load of wash up and did some computering while it washed and dried.  I never remember all of the things I need when I go.  I should make a check list.  I only got to post one blog but prepped 2 more.  I didn’t get to talk to anyone but paid some bills and looked at a new site we heard about for work and volunteering opportunities.

 

When I got back we started the grill fire but then there was drizzle and we never really got a very good fire going.  Barb came by with their calling card so we gave her ours.  They are going up the northeast and eventually back to southern California.  Next summer they will be at Yosemite.  He was employed there so they have an “in”.   Lucky them!

 

During dinner we watched the crazy birds all buzzing around and chasing each other.  Too bad they can’t all just get along.  Butters didn’t come out so Bill is worried.

 

On our after dinner walk we learned that the bear was back last night.  It took the eggs from one site’s cooler and was headed for the garbage at another site that didn’t properly dispose of it and someone came out with a light and ran it off.  I really want to see the bear but Bill doesn’t – wuss!
