Working Sunday!!!!

June 14 – This should have been a day of rest but after I made a “special” Sunday breakfast we did a short walk.  We went down to see what the water level is at the marina.  The roadway is still flooded but not as high as it had been.  We checked the picnic table at the island and the tops of the seats are out of the water so that’s over a foot drop.

The best one but top's not done
Bill dropped me off at the shrubs while he went to gas for the neighbor’s mower then he mowed their grass and most of ours.  He picked me up after about 90 minutes today.  Since we’re going on a mini road trip Tuesday and Wednesday and with Kam arriving on Friday we needed to get some of our hours in.  I have completed my part of the 2 big sections, so all that’s left is some trimming by Bill that I can’t reach.  I started on the next section with is smaller and Bill has a lot of stuff to rake tomorrow!

The local movie theatre, “The Gem”, has one theatre and
Heber Springs Theatre
they are showing Jurassic World so we decided to go to the matinee at 2.  It’s right on Main Street.  The down town still
Courthouse
has many of its original buildings and Heber Springs is the county seat so the old courthouse is also on Main Street.  Bill was shocked that the tickets were only $5 each for the movie and he got a big tub of popcorn and large drink for $8.  The inside of the theatre was vintage but modern seating with reclining seats and cup holders.  There were curtain entrances on each side.   The movie was good, predicable and very realistic.  It’s amazing what can be done by computers!  At times it kept you on the edge of your seat for sure!

I put some brownies in the oven when we got back and laid down for a short nap.  Then it was time to make dinner.  I gave Bill choice this morning of chicken, pork chops or fish and he chose chicken.  I knew it wouldn’t be fish, but now he gets to have it tomorrow!  I still didn’t get to the ironing!  I’ve got to do it tomorrow since we’ll be gone 2 days.

After dinner we got into a movie on Hallmark Channel and I fed my deer during a commercial and wouldn’t you know a storm blue in and it started pouring and thunder and knocked out the satellite during the last half hour.  Crap!  Bill went ahead and did his dishes while I was typing my journal.
