Leisurely Sunday?

June 7 – Sunday morning breakfast!  Strawberry rhubarb pancakes, bacon, grapefruit and for Bill a soft boiled egg.  Several of Bill’s favorites!  He wanted to head out for a bike ride, our first, but I told him I was taking the day off.  No labor, no exercise, just whatever I wanted to do.  So he left on the bike while I painted my earrings, cleaned the bathroom, emptied the litter box, completed my paperwork for the park and was starting to mop when he got back.  He was a tired, sweaty man!  He said he had to walk up one hill as those hills were tough.  Now I know I don’t want to bike ride!

We went on a search for Molly’s favorite toy, a little mouse.  We rarely see her play with it but it moves around a lot so we know she does.  I wanted to put fresh catnip in it and we could not find it.  I finally found it wedged under our little couch.  She was happy!

Once Bill was refreshed he went out to put his new seat covers on.  I sat down to start journaling.  He was vacuuming the car and our steps into the RV and then, boom, he tossed something at me, low and behold, the mystery of the missing debit card was over.  We guess it fell out of his pocket when he got in the car and was down between the seat and the door.  Oh well, at least he didn’t lose it and we have ordered a new one.

After a while I was feeling sorry for him so I asked if he needed any help, hoping for a reply of “no” but expecting a reply of “of course”.  So I went out and what a struggle to get the covers hooked beneath the seats!  We were both sweating up a storm after being contorted in the small floorboards of the car trying to reach where no man has gone before!  I told him I was done after the front seats were completed but he started on the bottom of the back seat so we did finish that also.  I will have to cut some slits in it for the seat belts.  These are not top of the line covers but not bad and will serve the purpose.  I guess tomorrow we will tackle the rest!

We just had a small lunch and Bill went BACK to Wal-mart while I went back to the

computer to try and catch up.  Afterwards I took Molly outside and let her sit out in her hut for a couple of hours.  I used the outside TV for the first time and Bill came out and watched a movie with me.  I put corn out for my deer.  I checked later and there was the big doe again.

I cooked a good dinner tonight since it’s Sunday.  Time to watch another movie!
