More of the Yukon

August 1 -  Today’s roads were not much better than yesterday as we headed out to Whitehorse still in Yukon.  As we were heading down the road we saw several of our caravan rigs pulled off to the left in a closed store lot so we Dave and Donna and us pulled in to see what was going on.  One of the 5th wheels in our caravan was having an issue with a spring.  So the great mind got together and decided to use d cinch straps to tighten the spring and they were able to drive it at 40MPH today into an RV place here in Whitehorse.  They told them to be in first thing in the morning and he could replace the spring.  They are very luck he has the part and would do it for them ASAP.  So they should still get into Skagway tomorrow late afternoon.

We are back at the same campground we stayed in before but this time we mostly all got pull thru spaces.  We are beside Dave and Donna.  We invited them to go out for dinner as a big thank you for Dave’s help with things to do with our RV.  He’s very knowledgeable and they are super nice people.  So once we got all settled and showered we were about to leave and ended up asking Mike and Barb who are so much fun to go with us as well.  We only paid for the 4 of us!

The food was very good at the place Bill picked out but the service was a little slow.  I’m thinking they were short a cook as the place isn’t a huge restaurant.  Bill and I didn’t have any leftovers but that was OK, the food was excellent.

Bill cleaned the windshield for the umpteenth time!  So many bugs!  Tomorrow we cross back over into Alaska and have to go thru customs AGAIN!
