August 7 – Kinda long drive today and as usual the roads were not the best. We did see a black bear along the road so that was good. The scenery was beautiful as usual.
Our campground was another
“excuse me” pile of crap! Most of the
group was dry camp parked in a grassy area with no hook ups. We were the last to arrive and we were parked
in a muddy spot between pine trees and couldn’t put all of our slides out. 4 others were packed in among locals that
stay there. Plus – it’s a steep drive
down to the bottom and back up. They
charged $25 for each RV to park in grass or mud with no water, electric or
sewer. What a rip off and poor planning
of the caravan.
It was rainy also as we
arrived so we pretty much parked and just had our dinner and read a while.
