July
21/22 – Back to work days. Not much to
report. We are still full every night,
but the phones have slowed down some. We
had enough free time over the 2 days that I was able to show Sue how to cut her
netting and showed her how I make my scrubbies.
It generated a lot of interest from several of the ladies in the
Laundromat. One says she’s going to have
a friend teach her when she gets home.
It’s
gotten a bit hotter now so Bill is trying to cool off more frequently. I need to get more sunscreen and keep it on
him.
We
did find out that one of the couples who was to be here for the season is
leaving on August 1. Our work days will
change from Friday and Saturday to Saturday and Sunday. We will still work with Sue and Hank on
Saturdays but we are on our own on Sundays!
Hopefully if I get in a pinch Elaine, Sue or Bev will be available to
answer questions.
The
owners’ son, Rick and his wife, Gina came up from Utah for the weekend. We got to know them when we were here 2 years
ago. Gina and I worked together until
she had to go home. We got along really
well and it was so good to see them both.
We could have talked for hours but with us working and them visiting other family that was here for the weekend there wasn't enough time. We hope they get up again or we may try to
meet for dinner on the night we stay down around Salt Lake
on our way south.
Needless
to say, I did not touch the computer for several days so have gotten myself behind
in blogging and journaling. Good thing
we’re off for 5 days so I can play catch up!
