July
6 – We didn’t do much around the RV today but left at 10:30 for “town”,
Rexburg. We went to the hardware store
for a couple of things and to the library.
Then we went to lunch at Blisters BBQ.
We ate there 2 years ago and it’s in the corner of a gas station on the
outskirts of town. They do make some
fine brisket. Then we went back into
town to Wal-mart where we had a long list, mostly groceries but some hooks for
the bathroom, hanger for my birdfeeder, new heads for our toothbrushes, dish
cloths. Needless to say we were all over
the store as of course it’s not laid out like ours in Ocoee.
Bill
tried to get a new screen cover for his phone and they sent him to ATT. So we went there and he said it was $40 so he
passed. We stopped at Wendy’s on the way
out of town and got Frostys.
Look carefully and you can see snow on the Tetons |
The
road we travel on provides a view of The Tetons and on the way home it was
clearer so I took a few photos. We’ve
got to sit down and start planning day trips for our days off. Bill wants to go to the Tetons and get a new t-shirt. I offered to order one online and same the drive! There is one hill on the road home and they say it
gets really bad in the winter.
Once
we got things put away Bill cleaned the windows on the car and we hung my bird
feeder hanger and I put a new hook up in the shower. Hope it holds as what I thought was wood trim
turned out to be plastic. I did a load
of laundry and Bill did his job of folding.
I
hadn’t taken out anything for dinner so I made a marinara sauce with some
ageing Roma tomatoes and used up an open can of seasoned tomatoes and while it
simmered I put cooked chicken in to simmer and warm through and served it over
some gluten free rotini pasta with a small salad. Anytime I make pasta, Bill is happy! We each had a small slice of the July 4 pie
that didn’t get touched. Then it was
just computer and TV time.
you have a prime account, you should get his phone cover on amazon!
