July
13 – I left my phone on last night as Directv was due between 8 and noon. Well, the reminder call came at 7:00 that he
would be here and sure enough he was here at 8.
We were the only stop at this end of the valley and he’s way south of
us. The good news is he was on time, the
bad news is there is nothing he could do for us due to the kind of dish we
have. It will not get the satellite that
we need for the local channels. He said
once we get down into Utah
when we leave we’ll pick them up. Oh
well!
After
breakfast Bill mowed our grass and the field in back of the campground while I made
a batch of hummingbird food, finished mending my frog’s leg and worked a lot on
our remaining trip. We are going on a
road trip while here with Molly in tow.
It’s 2-3 days and I found a pet friendly place for night one in Red
Lodge, MT. It’s at the NE entrance/exit
of Yellowstone and we’ve never been through
that one. We will drive what’s called Beartooth Hwy and I
gather it’s pretty slow going. We might
spend the second night in Bozeman
and do our shopping in the AM and come home.
We haven’t decided for sure on that yet.
We’re
trying to co-ordinate with Ron and Barbara on specifically what day they will
join us from Florida
so I’m not going to plan or book anything further than September 14 until I
hear from them. They said they would get
back to us in the next day or so. We
know we’ll meet at least September 25 or so but was hoping it is sooner.
I
made a small rhubarb crisp for us for 2 nights and have enough for another
one. Yum! I use whole oats so it’s really good in fiber
to help counter the sugar rhubarb takes.
Bill grilled pork chops and zucchini on the grill and I made a dish of
tomato with fresh mozzarella with some olive oil and balsamic vinegar, all it
was missing was fresh basil! An hour
later we had our dessert and called it a day.
Back
to work tomorrow!
