July 15 – I was up early and had my breakfast to be on time for my 8:30 eye
appointment. I’m still getting light
flashs and some funny pains but he didn’t see any other tears or problems. Then I stopped by Bill’s podiatrist to pick
up the paperwork to get him a temporary disabled parking hanger. Since it was
across the street from Wal-mart I ducked in for a few items for work, home and the
apartment.
I got home in time for lunch.
After cleaning up I spotted some movement in Kerry’s front yard area and
it was 2 small raccoons. I snuck out the
back door with my camera and got a few photos of the little guys hunting a
snack.
Bill and I left for a couple of errands and we started at The Book Rack
where I found 3 books and he found a stack.
That should hold us for a while!
We went by the warehouse and dropped off this morning’s purchases and
picked up paper work to take to the tag office since we were going to get
Bill’s handicapped hanger. On the way we
stopped at Ace for AC filters but they didn’t
have the size we needed. I realized I left my tote bag at the book
store with Bill’s paperwork in it so, drats, we had to back track. That always ticks me off as I plan my route
out but forget that I’m getting forgetful!
There was quite a line at the tag office and they wouldn’t let me sign
in to do the title I brought since there were so many ahead of me. Bill only had to wait about 40 minutes. While he waited I took our mini propane
tank across the street to the campground to get it filled but the guy could not get
it to take any gas. Then I went by the
bank and back to get Bill.
On the way home we detoured to McDonald’s for an afternoon treat. I changed into my “work” clothes and worked
on my bird feeder with the goal of out-smarting the squirrels. Then I went to the apartment and finished mulching
and put down another load of sod. I put
venison stew on to cook for dinner to use up the leftover venison steak and
various veggies and rice.
I finally got upstairs to get on the computer and heard Bill yelp and
ran down and he had slipped as he was getting on his knee walker and fell. I just knew he did damage to his foot and he
was in a lot of pain but after an ice bag it was better. Phew!
I ended up working on various things until 1 AM.
