Last day home....

Look at the ice!
July 16 – In checking my emails this morning, our tenant sent one that the AC did not seem to be working.  Not the way I wanted to start my day.  I called our AC guy and he knows Jared so instructed me to instruct Jared to blow out the line and check the breaker.  Jared called and said the filter was filthy and there was ice in fan outside and the unit in the garage, lots of ice!  So I called my guy back and he said to turn the unit on heat or use a hair dryer to melt the ice.  The wife was home so Kerry told her we needed to turn the heat on and was very sorry but it froze up due to a dirty filter.  Kerry and I left and later she went back with a hair dryer and got all the ice melted.  Then I went up and turned it back to AC and gave it a minute and let her feel that the air was cold coming out.  We put in the clean filter and but the cover back on and went home.

I hadn’t been home long when I got another email that the TV in the apartment and been searching for the satellite for 2 hours.  Geezy Pete!  I called Jared and he said he had unhooked the main box because the painter was there but he’d get it back on.

Top to Bottom:
Chicken quesadilla, salad, pork tamales
Bill wanted to have lunch at The Ocoee Taco Company as we had heard it was good and so we did.  Lunch was excellent and the place was full with people waiting.  They only have 5 small tables and 2 counter seats inside and several tables outside but it is Florida in the middle of summer so there were no takers for those.  Some people got “to go” bags and some just waited for a table.  Bill got chicken quesadillas and I had the pork tamale special and we shared a salad.  I thought it was just a salad but it had chicken on it so I brought home one of my tamales and we ate the rest.  Great place!

I really needed to get some computer stuff done as time was running out.  I worked on listing our 2 extra tickets for the Red Sox game later this month and then did the paperwork to file and insurance appeal with CIGNA.  Crazy me, I had no idea that my coverage didn’t cover me outside of Florida unless I got permission first for an exception.  I had gotten my eye doctor from their website on their list of doctors but apparently that wasn’t enough.  A CIGNA rep I spoke to said he’d file one for my Ophthalmologist but then I got the bill for the surgery!  Egads!  So that one I had to do myself with lots of information and a sob story to hopefully get it paid.

I put down 1 load of sod and did one last load of laundry.  I loaded a few bags and items in the car for tomorrow.  Since it was Saturday night I knew Bill wanted to eat out and since we had a big lunch we decided to go visit mom after her dinner and then eat. We really didn’t have a clue of what or where we wanted to eat but finally settled on 4 Rivers.  We had to eat outside, at least there were ceiling fans.  The line wasn’t all that long but they didn’t seem to be too organized and were very slow at pushing people through the line.
Well, we hit the road again tomorrow with not a lot planned.  I did look up 2 campgrounds near Falling Waters in PA.  I have wanted to visit Falling Waters for a long time and nearly did once but had to choose between it and a national park and the park won.  It’s Frank Lloyd Wright’s most famous work and he has done some fantastic designs.  So we know I’m going there and we know we are going to see the Red Sox on July 27.  It’s a work in process.
