July 10 – Sunday morning breakfast time.
I made Bill a red velvet pan waffle, which I haven’t made in a while. Of course there was the normal bacon and
fruit with his soft boiled egg.
Then it was time to head out and back to weeding at the apartment before
the worst heat of the day began. It’s
not bad weeding as I am in the shade for several hours so I got a lot done. I need some mulch to freshen up things.
When I was tired enough to call it quits I showered and went to
visit mom. They were in the cafeteria so
I left her an apple in her room and went to sit with her while she ate. She does eat pretty well and always has her
dessert. Then we walked a bit before I
left her. I stopped at Aldi’s and Harbor
Freight.
We had a late lunch with Melissa and Jim. We met at Longhorn Steakhouse at 2 and still
had a 25 minute wait. We all thought the
after church crowd would be done and we’d beat the dinner crowd, but didn’t
work out that way. Once we got seated we
took our time and had a nice lunch and a 2.5 hour visit. There’s never enough talk time no matter what,
but it was good to see them on what we hope is a “break” in our trip.
I did a quick stop at Target since we were right there then it was home
to relax. Well, I still have plenty to
keep me busy.
