July 1- The count down to leaving
has officially begun! July 6 will be
here before we know it and we made our final reservation for the trip to Idaho today. We will be spending our last 2 nights on the
road in Twin Falls, ID and do some sightseeing until one of the volunteers we
are replacing vacates a spot for us on the 13th.
Bill didn’t sleep so well last
night so I let him sleep in and we had a late breakfast. He moved to the couch and still wasn’t quite
up to par but had made a DR appointment yesterday that he was going to this
afternoon. I repaired our crazy trash
bin in the car and watered my herbs and laid my diamond hunting rocks out on
the picnic table to dry so I can bag them for travel. Then it was time for some phone calls. We have a couple of “repair” items in the RV
that I needed to check on parts but didn’t have any actual success so far.
Bill made our lunches and got his
shower and left for the doctor, ACE again (I needed a longer screw to fix the
shower drain), and Wal-Mart. I gave him
a short list of what we’ll need for our part of the July 4 group dinner we will
be attending. Oh, no mulch showed up
today so guess there’s not going to be any.
While Bill was gone I caught up
on my journal, printed postcards, made our final reservation, and consumed a
very tasty glass of wine! Then I put
some pickle steaks on to simmer for dinner.
It will be enough for 2 meals!
I never took my slippers off all
day, but I did put on regular clothes!
