Back to work

August 12 – After breakfast Bill went to the post office and was gone for a long time.  It dawned on me that although he didn’t say anything, he was out picking blueberries again.  He came home with 6 pounds of berries and a couple of pounds of peaches.  I put another bag of berries in the freezer and left the peaches to ripen a bit more.  Then I made a 4 serving blueberry crisp for tonight and tomorrow night.

Our first day on the new schedule!  Sunday started our first days and we were off 2, now will be on 7, then off 3, then on 5, and so it goes.  Over the first 2 weeks we will work 38 hours, so 19 per week.  Basically we alternate with the other couple 2 and 3 days off and we both work every Friday and Saturday and a long day on Thursday.  Today was OK, but really slow.  I read a lot and did some computer research for us.  Bill was on the mower ALL day.  That is what he likes the best and since we expect rain tonight and tomorrow he won’t be able to mow then.  The 4 hours went pretty fast.

I warmed our stuffed peppers for dinner and later we had some crisp for dessert and settled in to watch our shows.
