July 13 – Really
boring day! I went to Ferry Hill and
worked with John until 2. We only had 9
visitors so I read a lot and did some research on my cell phone. I will say the weather was really nice as it
was plenty cool inside there today with just the fans on and the doors
open. Of course as we were walking to
our cars we had 4 vehicles approach to visit but we sadly had to turn them
away.
We relaxed a while
and finally left for Hagerstown . On the way I saw a couple picking some kind
of berries along the road and told Bill I needed to check that out. We went to the Wal-Mart and K-Mart to look
for a bike for Bill. They had some
aluminum frame ones at Wal-Mart but they had hand brakes and he just wants a
cruiser bike. We did find out that we
could order one on-line and have it delivered to the store and they would put
it together. If he didn’t like it we can
return it and keep looking.
We went in the mall
so I could go to Bath
and Body Works while Bill went to the ATT store. He always has something wrong with his
phone. The line there was long so he
found me and we checked Sears for a new “man purse” for him, but found
nothing. I hand stitched his but it’s
just a short term repair so we will check every place we go looking for a new
one. I went in the Christmas Tree Store
while Bill listened to his Sirius shows in the truck. It has the same things as the one in Altamonte Springs but not
as big. I picked up a few small
items. Always browsing.
We had dinner at El
Ranchero near the mall and it was very good.
Their shrimp cocktail was full of shrimp but I missed the avocado they
use at Taquitos at home. Bill had
chorizo quesadilla and really enjoyed it.
Their chips were chips but the salsa was very much like Taquitos. On the way home we stopped at the Outlet mall
and checked a few places for his bag but no luck there. I also had Bill stop along the road where I
saw the people picking something and I walked back up to the spot and they were
wild raspberries. I managed to pick a
nice handful so will plan to go back for more with a container and better shoes
for picking hillside. The timing didn’t
work out for a movie so maybe we will go one afternoon this week. On the way home from Hagerstown I counted 28 deer. Amazing!
