Shopping day in Martinsburg, WV

July 3 – Today I had promised Susanna I’d take her to the train station in Martinsburg, WV.  Her train was at 10:30 and she wanted to be really early so I picked her up at 9:30, dropping Bill off at the same time for his day of duty at Ferry Hill.  Martinsburg is not far and it only took us 20 minutes to the station.  Then I started on my day of errands.

I went to the Laundromat first to get that unpleasantry out of the way.  The health food store I found on line is no longer in business so that was a waste of time.  Then I hit Wal-Mart, Staples and on the way home made my final stop at Food Lion in Shepherdstown before picking Bill up.  I was 30 minutes late but had called to let him know.  I got all his favorites for our 4th of July meal tomorrow.  We’ll grill for dinner since I don’t get home til after 2.

After things were put away I tried to read but was getting really sleepy so I left Molly out in the hut and came in and napped for an hour in my recliner.  I always sleep my best in the chair.  At some point Bill went out and brought Molly in.

I made chicken fajitas for dinner and slaw for tomorrow.  We walked the campground after dinner and Bill chatted with a man from Baltimore that said we were lucky to be white and still in one piece after driving around in the area of Baltimore that we were in, uh-oh!  We also discovered the camp water pump is not working up to par so we will need to call in the morning and see if there is a maintenance person on duty.  I also need change as campers keep asking if we have change for $20 to pay their fee of $10.

Now I’m caught up again with my journal and blog!
