August 25 - Three days in a row and Xena did not wake me or wet her diaper. I did get us up earlier today since I have to be at work at 9 and I had to take Xena out, feed her and Molly and me, and diaper her again. I like to sit a while once I get up and drink my hot beverage of the day, which today was coffee and then have my breakfast. Today was oatmeal with craisins and splenda brown sugar with a touch of cinnamom. Yum! It’s very filling and sticks with you!
The ladies were pleased to see the cupcakes and I shared them with the rangers and the hosts that came in. The park manager also brought in Danish and cookies. Everyone commented on how moist the cupcakes were and how good the frosting was. I left the container to bring home tomorrow. I have 6 cupcakes at home for Bill.
Pretty much the whole Durango Airport |
After taking Xena out and having lunch, I took a load of wash up and put it in and then went by the office to take back the new shirts they gave me that are huge. I can wear my old ones for my last few days. Then I went back and read until the laundry was done. When I got home Bill had not called so I got on my phone and checked his flights and he was going to be 10 minutes early. I hurried and vacuumed and showered and got in the clothes that were dry, took Xena out and fed her and diapered her and left for the Durango airport. I was stopped in their driveway taking a photo of the tiny airport when Bill called to see where I was. I said I’m here taking a picture, so it was a matter of 2 minutes to pick him up and be back on the road again.
We stopped at the casino and used coupons to each get $25 free play, so I played that $50 and the $20 Bill had left on his card and only brought home $20.25. Bummer! We had dinner in one of the restaurants and it was OK. Neither of us ate it all but were full. It was a little early for me but that was fine. We got home and I folded laundry while he unpacked. He had a cupcake and was pleased that he has 6. I caught up on my journal, posted one blog and time to read a while.
