More cleaning on the RV

August 28 – We got up at 7 to make sure we were not late for breakfast with the rest of the gang. We pretty much took up the whole place as there were 12 of us and it’s a small place. Bill had eggs and sausage and I had biscuits and gravy. The portions were huge. I got 2 big biscuits split with a lot of gravy for $2.99. Much better price than at home. I only expected half that so I gave one to Bill and one was left. We had our normal fun and laughter at each other’s expense. We will miss our new friends and hope to meet up with them again.

We stopped at the post office and then came home to change into work mode. Bill waxed the rest of the door side of the RV and I cleaned our one site and did some trash pick up, weed pulling and weed whacking. I made the red sauce for carne adovada for Friday night. Marion stopped by to offer his electric hot plates, extra folding table and chairs. If everyone comes we will have 16 there and the room doesn’t have enough tables and chairs. His RV is right beside the room we’re meeting in.

Other than working on the RV it was a pretty blah day. Bill scrubbed the grill and got it ready to put away and he put away my 3 little kokopellis. We got in a couple more campers. The weather picked up and we got a lot of wind and some rain. I guess we are better off than home with the hurricane residuals hitting.

For dinner I made chicken piccata over orzo with steamed zucchini. Bill doesn’t normally care for piccata but he enjoyed it after he took the capers off and gave them to me. I just wanted something different. I do miss my kitchen with all of my ingredients and my pans and my kitchen tools. Using the edge of a plate is not nearly as effective as a meat tenderizer!
