August 14 - We were up early and managed to be on the road by the agreed time of 8. I packed lunch for us and extra drinks for while we are gone. It looks like we’re moving with all the bags but at least it all fit in the truck. After they guy lied about the ownership of the phone, Bill didn’t want to leave anything outside that might be stolen, so our RV is now packed with 2 bicycles, a grill, bike rack, satellite dish stand, 2 man kayak, 2 paddles, a weed whacker and our good folding chairs. Better to do that than come back to some or all of it gone!

Then we got into Kremmling where we met Darlene at the thrift store where she volunteers. Once she closed up shop we followed her home. Xena was so excited to get out and start sniffing for all the wildlife that abounds there. I unpacked the truck with Darlene’s help and Bill took Xena for a long walk. Xena and Molly are right at home since they were here 2 years ago.
I put 4 steaks in the cooler to grill for dinner but in 9 hours they were still frozen, so we went into town and had Mexican instead. Dinner was good and we all enjoyed it. I got emails from Karen that David had 4 bypasses and was in surgery for 8 hours. Things didn’t go exactly as planned due to the size of his veins but as far as I know it’s done. He was in ICU so maybe tomorrow I can talk to her and see what his prognosis is. Carole called this morning and Herb was upset and confused early this morning but was better when he woke up after she got there. We didn’t get to call her again tonight.
We watched some TV and Darlene and I visited another couple of hours. I just needed to get today typed up before I forgot it and now it’s time for bed.
