Restful day...

August 8 – It was cold again this morning but not as bad as yesterday as we remembered to close all the windows before we went to bed.  I didn’t sleep well at all last night. Not sure why, but by 7:30 I gave up trying and just got up and made my coffee.  After breakfast I saw

a missed called from Harry so I called him back.  He was working at World Market today and asked if I needed him to bring anything when he comes tomorrow.  He said he wouldn’t get her until about 7 pm, around dinner time.  I know that was my clue to wait dinner for him!  I text him later to bring me a bottle of Torani French Vanilla syrup.  If they had scones on sale I’d have had him get some but they were not on sale so I’ll manage with what I have on hand.

Sue came over to ask if Bill would walk her 3 dogs after dinner tonight as they would be in Idaho Falls and not get back until about 10.  He loves her dogs so he was happy to do it.

It was a rainy morning but once it cleared off we re-leveled the RV.  You’re supposed to do it
My pretty little hummer
every 3 weeks when you’re sitting so we are quite a bit behind.  Bill had cleaned the legs and silicone sprayed them.  We had a couple of glitches, which only a couple is good with our legs.

I went to the Rec Hall and used the oven and stove there to make a batch of caramel corn for when Harry is here.  I took my book and scubbie bag and traded off reading and crocheting during the 4 cooking cycles.  I gave a small bag of corn to Elaine, the owner of the campground and to the lady working the office today.  It cooks so much better with an oven you can set to the proper temperature.

Bill painted stakes to mark the sewer hook ups and cleaned

the front of the car while I was baking. When I got home I spotted several birds in the yard and grabbed my camera.   The hummer took the longest to wait for.  I could hear him but it was a while before he landed.  The green one showed up later and they kept defending the feeder so could not get both.

At one time there were 4 feeding, not sure what they are
It was more of a restful day today.  For dinner I did a clean sweep of the fridge.  I had one bell pepper left so par-boiled it and used leftover mixed rice, leftover Italian sausage and leftover spaghetti sauce and made a stuffed pepper for him and just a casserole of the mix for me.  There was a decent zucchini in the crisper so I micro-cooked it with a bit of dill krauter seasoning and we were good to go!

After Bill walked the dogs I did a minute cake in a mug that we shared with a scoop of huckleberry ice cream on top for dessert.  I caught up on the blog while we watched “Shooter”.
