August
4 - Still a bit nippy this morning but beautiful out up close but still very
hazy at the mountains. Might be that way
the rest of our time here.
I
woke Bill at 8:45 this morning as after breakfast he was taking a road trip into
Rexburg. He wanted to see the new movie
“Dunkirk ” and
invited me to go but knows I’m not a big war movie fan. I gave him my blessing to go, have fun and a
list to stop for after at Wal-mart! He
left about 9:45 with an hour or so drive.
I ended up texting 3 more items for the list.
Harry
is currently planning to come up on Wednesday and leave on Saturday when we go
to work. It will be great to see him
before he leaves later in the month for his solo trip to England and
beyond! I’m not sure what he’ll want to
do, but figure we will make a trip into Yellowstone
for sure. We’ll have 2 full days so that
is doable and maybe Mesa
Falls.
While
Bill was gone I cut up 2 new pillow cases to hand sew into 3 small cases for
the baby pillows on the bed. I read a
while and put a bag of stuff under the RV and planned our dinner. I went over to visit with Sue and have her
help me fold some netting.
It
was a quiet day! No Sirius radio, no TV. Oh, the sound of silence.....
Then
I got on the computer and did an application for next summer, contacted my
doctor’s office via medical portal for a new prescription and caught up on
email. I contacted Kam to see if she can
get my squirrel video to be a video on my post of July 31. She said I’m high maintenance, but what is a
daughter for but to help out her “old” mama!
Anyway, she got it fixed so if anyone missed it, go back to July 31 for
a stimulating conversation between 2 squirrels!
I
was going to work on the post-Albuquerque part of our trip but was waiting to
hear back from our friends. Don’t think
I’ll hear today as she texted a photo of their SECOND flat on the highway. This time it tore of the wheel panel of the
RV and they are getting 3 new tires. Don’t think they will be in much of a mood
for discussing travel plans. Been there,
done that, and don’t wish it on anyone!
Bill
got home around 4 and enjoyed his movie and stopped at Wal-Mart for 4-5
items. I made steel head trout and mixed
rice with fresh broccoli for dinner.
None of the 3 items would be things Bill would pick for dinner. I love all three. Then we spent the evening reading.
