Busy, busy, busy!

August 3 – We have 6 days off this week since our work days are changing from Friday and Saturday to Saturday and Sunday.  Then we will only have 5 more weekends to work!

This was baking/cooking day!  I made scones for breakfast with enough for 2 more mornings.  Later I made 2 different kinds of gluten free cookies since they are small batches.  One is just Almond and one is Coconut Chocolate chip.  Then I made a batch of Quinoa Salad.  That will be just for me as I can’t seem to get Bill’s taste buds on track.  He grilled brats and chicken for dinner so we have 2 more meals from his efforts.

He got the bad news that the broken air vent is no longer made by Maxx Air so he took the old one off and it was literally in pieces.  He used the stainless steel screws he took out to fill back into the holes in the RV.  We will see if we can find another brand but of course the holes will NEVER match up.

Bill met with the owner to verify our work days and Bill said he would be responsible for mowing the first three rows of sites.  The other guys present didn’t offer to do anything.  So either the sites will be overgrown or the owner will make other arrangements.  The wife called later and asked if we could meet with them and the other workers tomorrow evening at 7.  She wants to make sure we’re all on the same page, and I said we need to be in the same book first!  She just laughed.

I spent hours on the computer trying to get into my mom’s medicare account.  It got totally messed up and I tried “chatting” with a rep and gave up on that and just kept at it and finally got it opened and got the EOB’s that my sister needs to verify some of the bills that have come in months after the fact!  Typical!

I thought Bill might do some park stuff today but he said no.  He emptied the tanks and all that and folded the load of laundry and did all the dishes, so I didn’t let him remain idle!  He spent some time on the phone with friends and caught up on school gossip.

The cookies were good.  Bill said he needed to have another as he wasn’t sure about them on the first one.  Not happening!  I might use the rec hall’s oven tomorrow to make batch of caramel corn as my nephew is coming next week from Utah for a couple of days.  I have to spoil him a little.  Bill is going to Rexburg to a movie so I can do whatever I want:  without needing a car!

Time to put my jammies on and get out my book!
