Slow Day

Captains Log June 21 - Today we did 2 loops but they are half or more empty so it really wasn’t

bad.  We did all but one together and the last one just was not leaving!  So after lunch I told Bill I would go do that last one and then go to the other loop and scout around for another giant pine cone.

Wouldn’t you know that this was the worst site of the day?  There were melted cups and plates in the fire pit and half burnt wood.  I cleaned it all out and picked up trash around the site, loaded up some cut boards that were left behind as well.  We also are to pick up any pinecones in the site proper.  We only do around the trees if they are close to the site. 

I left the cart full of the trash so Bill could take it later to the various dump locations.

I went scouting in D loop for another giant pine cone and found a child’s fleece jacket at the playground but didn’t find the owner.  They must have left this morning so I hung it on our site post and maybe they are still here but down at the river.
