June
2 - It was a totally peaceful night for which we are thankful! The neighbors behind us

Welcome to Branson! |
left while we were
contemplating breakfast. I bought some
Canadian bacon at Aldi, which they call Biscuit ham and Bill wanted biscuits. Thought I had some Bisquick, but no so I Googled
and made a half recipe of biscuits. Not
as good as my recipe from home! I will
have to do a thorough search and see if I really do have it in here somewhere. There was no grape jelly but we made do with
ligonberry! A bowl of fresh fruit and I
was fine but Bill wanted a poached egg so he had a BIG breakfast!

Roadside Attraction |
Sharon
and Bruce were going to church so we left right after them for the outlet mall. Bill had a sneaker breakdown so he got 2 pair
and I went to Bath
and Body Works (with a coupon) and got more body butter that was one sale! We made a quick stop at Wally World. Oh and on the way shopping we stopped at the Dick’s
5 & 10 on Main Street,
which is always fun whether you buy anything or not. It was packed!
They rake in the bucks there for sure!
Bruce
and Sharon beat us home and after a short visit we all went

in to have our
lunch. We needed to be ready to leave
for the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede at 4.
The pre-show is at 4:30 and then they move you to your seats for the
main attraction. I did a load of laundry
before shower time or there is NO water pressure! We left on time and the guys dropped us off
in front of the stable area. They parked
while we checked out some of the horses for the show.

Pre-show |
The
pre-show was very good! Three brothers
doing Blue Grass and spinning some non-Blue Grass into Blue Grass. We all enjoyed the show and singing along and
yee hawing!
Our
seats in the main hall were in the last row which certainly gave us a bird’s
eye view. The only “bad” seats I think
were at the end but anywhere on the sides was great! It was a dinner

At least we didn't have to sing for

show so you eat and watch and
hoot and holler all at the same time! I
think Sharon and I were very active participants, Bruce – some, Bill not so
much! It was the North against the South
and by golly we were on the South side (which would have been my choice) and
the South hammered the North throughout the evening of contests. The food was
OK, nothing to write home about! The
beverages were soda, tea and lemonade.
There was a creamed vegetable soup, cheese biscuit, tiny whole

chicken,
a slice of pork loin, a half of a baked potato, mini corn cob and an apple
turnover! It was a big meal and we both
brought home some chicken!
We
were home with plenty of daylight left for an evening chat session. We ended up rearranging the seating order as
Bill and Sharon were talking over each other.
Things went lots smoother once we put the guys in the corner where they
belonged! Once the biters came out, we
went in until tomorrow!!
