Last day in Hollister/Branson 😞

June 3 – It was a great last day in Branson area!  Bill had made an eye appointment before we arrived as he has been experiencing a blurry eye.  His appointment was 9:40 this morning.  We left plenty early as traffic and the lay out of the roads here are not good!  He needs new glasses and is suffering from allergy and dry eye.  He got drops and has to get the other med.

We stopped at a packed used book store! People were coming and going and Bill got quite a load of books.  I got 2-3, so we’re good for a few more miles!  While we were out and about, Bruce washed out entire RV!  What a guy!  Bill didn’t believe it, but he did.  Shout out to Bruce for being such a good friend and fun guy!

Today was lunch day at the College of the Ozarks.  They have a

culinary school and the students do the cooking!  They are supervised by Executive Chefs.  The menu changes and the new one had just started.  As you enter they have a dessert tree, just to remind you to save room for one of their fabulous desserts!  They have a full menu of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, meals and of course, desserts.  They bring whole wheat rolls and cranberry biscuits to the table and little pans of student made apple butter and butter.  A lot of the meats and vegetables are grown by the college.  The guys were rather predictable as they both got the meatloaf!  Boring!  Sharon and I ended up picking out the same meal but we went with

jelly!  We all agreed the food was excellent!  I wish we had gone there more than once!  The guys went with the HUGE slice of apple pie while Sharon and I both had raspberry bread pudding (served warm).  Oh my goodness, was it ever tasty.  They almost had to roll us out!  Bill asked for a bag to take the last roll and biscuit for later.

It was a beautiful day out and on the way to Wal-mart  after lunch, Bruce took us on a scenic tour of a nice neighborhood!  Bill and I waited in the truck since we had gone there this morning.

We gathered as usual over at Bruce and Sharon’s RV for our afternoon jam session.  It started to lightly drizzle and once it picked up, we and headed home.  Then it REALLY started to pour!  We each ate some leftovers when we felt like it and once the rain stopped I looked out and there were 20-30 geese and their goslings coming across the lots besides us.

Time to call it a day and maybe get caught up with my posts, well until tomorrow….
