Settling In and no internet

July 2 - I was up and dressed and headed to the office just after 8 this morning.  I wanted to

deliver the paper towels we picked up yesterday but no one was round.  I ran into the other couple, Kim and Paul and followed them to the bathhouse and they went over the process with me.  She will probably work with me Wednesday then I’ll be on my own.  Bill got up when I got back and after he got turned around we both went up and we delivered the paper towels and Bill left with the guys to learn how to pump RV tanks and I got our shirts for work and talked with Jean about the STREAKER that was in the park last night and went into a tent of sleeping people.

I came back to the RV and attempted to post but now I could not begin to connect to the internet.  I’m so frustrated with it!  I downloaded what photos we had on the camera and prepped as much as I could.  Once Bill came back and we had lunch we decided to go explore a little more.  I Googled Best Buy as they could check my laptop and maybe Bill’s truck radio.  Sometimes it works and the next time it won’t.  Must be a loose wire somewhere.

We found the Best Buy and across the street is a big mall and smaller complexes.  Best Buy wanted $150 to repair my laptop and said we could purchase plan for $300 and get a year of repairs and we could do the truck and laptop today.  Not happening!  I googled again and found a shop across the  street that repairs phone and computers.  He said if it was just a reset or command fix they wouldn’t charge.  So we went there and the guy available was not the computer guy and he had no luck but said to come back tomorrow.  It just HAPPENED to be next door to Starbucks and I haven’t had one since we left home!  We ordered and Bill sat outside while I sat inside at least journalled today so far.

There was a big department store, Younkers, that was going out of business, so we stopped in.  It’s along the line of Dillards, Macys; name name brand!  The sale was fantastic, most was 50% off with an additional 20%.  We both got socks and underwear, a couple of nice Christmas gifts and I got a copper 6 inch square skillet for eggs.   Too bad the bras my size and my brand were sold out!  We’re going back as they will be open another month and I’m sure the prices will continue to go down!!!

Without crumbs, we still managed to find our way home!  I was bummed about my laptop but got out my tablet and did email on it.  I made butternut risotto for dinner with steel head trout and of course, I thought it was super good and Bill said the fish was good for fish but the risotto was good.  Later we had rhubarb crisp.  Nothing much on TV so we both read and relaxed.
