September 3 – It was a long day…
We left the campground at 8:15 to
take the RV in for the new AC and to have the generator put back in. We arrived about 9 and I went over our list
of small items that we were hoping they would get to in addition to these 2
major items.
We had Molly with us and we
headed into Manchester . It was a bit early for most stores when we
arrived but Christmas Tree Shops was open so I started there with my
shopping. I perused every aisle and
picked up some bargains and a few stocking stuffers for Christmas.
I trekked through Joann’s, Dollar
Tree, Bed Bath and Beyond and we had lunch at Panera Bread. We took our outdoor chairs and found 2 trees
where we could sit out to eat our lunch while Molly was in the truck beside
us. We took our time just relaxing
and enjoying the nice weather.
Next door was a Walgreens, so we
had our flu shots for the season. We
stopped at World Market since they don’t open until noon and we meandered
towards Bolton where the RV was. We stopped at a used book store in Vernon and left with just
3 books and turned in 4 paperbacks.
Now we were ready for dessert so
Bill googled and found a family run dairy farm in Bolton,
Fish Family
Farm, where we got coffee ice cream with
oreos, yum! There were quite a few folks
there with kids and they have a nice outdoor area where the kids and run, see
the chicken coop and use a picnic table.
They have a vintage
tractor and a vintage car that we can’t identify! It was a nice stop!

When we arrived at Bolton Notch
RV, the gate was closed and we waited a bit and when it didn’t open we called
and got an answering service who said they would urgent page Eric. Still no gate opening but a car pulled up
behind us and got out and said we couldn’t get in so he used his access card to
open the gate. They were there to get
their unit out of storage and left again and we could see our RV in the garage. We waited a little longer and I went to the
office and Eric was on the phone with the warranty company. Once he got off he said they were going to
give him a call back and he would let me know once he heard what they were
paying. The new AC was in and so quiet
it was awesome! The generator was in
perfect running condition and back in it’s home but they didn’t have time to do
any of the small stuff other than put the replacement end cap on the awning and
said it worked fine!
So we didn’t pay yet but he knows
we will when ever he lets us know.
Traffic was worse going home than it was going in this morning. Bill managed to stay with me all but one time
at a light. We got home at 6 and we were
tired puppies! BUT, we had great air
conditioning!!
We had 2 of the pickle steaks
with instant mashed potatoes and broccoli salad for dinner. So glad I had it available instead of having
to cook.
Glad to hear that the new AC works and the Gen set works.Yahoo.Oh, and the day went well.
