September 30 – We actually got up and on the road earlier than we expected. We did have to dump on the way out but got on the road south and arrived in Keystone Heights, FL at Mike Roess State Park at 2:30 after one bathroom and lunch break on the way.
Sharon and Bruce were set up next to our site and already sitting out and enjoying great weather. Once we set up we joined them and it was so good to see them after 4 months on the road. We've stayed in touch but it's nothing like being together in person. Sharon had researched some places for dinner so when we decided it was time we headed in to town and dined at Northway's Steak and Seafood. They had a lot of specials on the menu which Sharon and I went with but the guys stuck to the regular menu. The meals were good except Sharon had a lobster roll that was spicy and we all thought that was rather odd. She did, however, receive 2 “rolls” and with her sides that was enough for a lunch tomorrow.
I'm writing this a few days behind since I didn't get back to finishing the blog until today (10-5). Oops!
I think we all headed back to our Rv's and called it a day!
Yes, another great time with our friends.
