September 19 – Today we had plans to meet up with my friend Peggy and her husband Tommy at an Italian restaurant in Louisa. The town was about 7 miles from the campground and we got there a little early and drove around to see what was there.

The restaurant was an excellent
pick! I thoroughly enjoyed my white
cheese (ricotta and mozzarella) with spinach pizza. Bill had an open calzone and he raved about
as well. Peggy and Tommy went with a
full meal with a salad and both were pleased as well! Of course Peggy and I kept a steady
conversation going at our end of the table and Bill and Tommy were doing the
same at their end. Peggy brought me up
to date on folks and we caught up on her family and my family. She now uses a rolling walker due to some
back issues in addition to her MS. We
agreed to do a better job of keeping in touch as we are not getting any
younger! Peggy got me through Algebra 1
in the 8th grade as luckily for me we were seated alphabetically in
the classroom and I was right behind her!!
It was another great visit!
From there we headed to the closest Wal-mart for a few things and to just drive around a bit. When we got back to the campground there were kids all over having a ball! The campground was full for sure!
For dinner we each had our leftovers from lunch. Bill tried to talk me into getting a larger pizza at lunch. I got an 8 inch, which was the smallest and still had half left. He tried a small piece at the restaurant, full well knowing he doesn’t like spinach, and said he still didn’t like it! I ate 2 pieces for dinner and he had calzone and I made small salads to with it. It really was the best pizza. I might have to give making on a try!
