28 – There wasn’t anything really going on this morning at the rally as today
is actually the first day. After
breakfast we battled cold and rain and went to Wal-Mart. I dropped my prescription to be filled and
while they worked on it I picked up the items on my short list. We were in and out in 45 minutes!

RV’s arrived while we were out. It was
such a nasty day! We read until time for
lunch. Then we went up to the “First
Timer’s” meeting which followed with a wine and cheese reception. That was really nice and everyone just socialized. It was still drizzly after so we stopped at
the main hall and I entered several raffles.
Maybe with fewer people my odds will improve!
We
came home again and went back to our books until dinner time. The sun finally came out at 4:45 for the first
time in 3 days. Then it got dark and
cooled off. I didn’t feel much like
cooking so I made those delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. Fast, easy and delicious! The opening

ceremony started at 6 so we went
over and got seats. There are 82 RV’s here
and they normally have about 160. Kansas is having their
state rally this weekend also and they attribute it to that. The staff procession was nothing compared to
how long a Florida
procession takes. We were recognized for
being from Florida and there was also a

from Illinois, so the other guests were states
surrounding Colorado. There was a western duo performing right
after. They played well but didn’t sing
so well. We left at 7 so I could see the
season opener of Grey’s Anatomy tonight.
It was a 2 hour show, awesome!
Then we watched a lot of FOX which after a while I get tired of the
commentator and guest speaking over each other and just sounding rude. Too much for me to comprehend! Time to turn it off and read! Much more relaxing!
