September
2/3 – Our last two days of working at Valley View RV. Bill is not a happy camper as he really loves
it here and all of the seasonals that he has gotten to know. He loves mowing grass and being
productive. I don’t mind the work at
all, especially now that things have slowed down tremendously. Sue and I had very few phone calls on
Saturday and ended up checking in about 7 units. The Laundromat was busy in spurts. We had time to crochet and I taught her how to do
the ripple pattern. She started on a
practice one and made copies of my instructions so she should be good to go.

We
managed to get a REALLY early start on cleaning the Laundromat and mopping and
so when 7 came around we balanced to the penny and were out of there just after
7. Sue and Hank asked if we’d like to go
to Connie’s for dinner Bill left a little early to get a shower so once we were
all organized and ready we lit out for Connie’s. Well, it was Saturday Prime Rib night
and it was packed. There was a line to
get on the list so we opted to head to the Chinese place across the road. We parked right in front and were seated
immediately but it wasn’t long before they were filled. I’m sure it was the overflow from Connie’s,
so good for China Grove.
Bill
had the chicken lo mein and I had the chicken with snow peas full dinner. We shared
the appetizer plate and I had my
egg drop soup and he ate the green peppers out of my dinner. The rice was late arriving and he had some of
that also, so we left sated and no take home.

Stuffed
at we were, we all were tired after a long day and we were all ready to head home. I didn’t last long with my book and we were
in bed before 11.
Sunday
I was on my own in the laundromat and it was overall a slow day. People came in spurts again and it was cold this morning. I started the day with only 2 reservations
but ended up with 5 by closing. I had
all the cleaning done except that Bill swept the floors for me.There were 2 last
minute
arrivals but I managed to be home by 7:30.
I know Bill was sad that our stint is over, but I’m ready to move on to
other adventures.

The
sun was setting as I walked home and it was beautiful so I grabbed my camera
and took a few shots before going in to get some dinner going.
We
heated our chicken and other leftovers and watched our show. Once again I fell asleep with my book in my
hands.
