Picking More berries!!

Captains Log July 18- There was no leaving the campground today.

2 individual pies and one for us!

After breakfast, before it got too hot we went to the berry patch and together we picked 4½ pounds of blackberries. I cleaned both days’ berries and put 4 pounds in the freezer and then made pie with the remainder and some fresh rhubarb.  I made 2 tiny pies for 2 of the single guy hosts and a bigger but not regular size pie for Bill and I.  It’s enough for 6 small servings.

We had about 23 sites empty during the day which was great for us.  We cleaned them in 2 or 3 times circling the loop.  The more we do today the less we have tomorrow.  The strange thing is now we have no new campers since the spaces are still held for the large group.

There were wood sales on and off from our loop and from other loops.  I guess their host was not available.

We grilled out today, chicken kabobs and zucchini for dinner and watched some TV and sold some wood.  Nice end of good day!
