Blueberries and Peaches

August 18 – After breakfast Bill wasn’t feeling too well so I left for Buell’s Orchard in
Good to go for a while!!
Eastford.  Bill had called to see if the peaches were ready and they were, so I picked ½ of a peck for eating and then picked several pounds of blueberries.  The peaches are excellent and the berries aren’t at large as last time but very good as well.  The last time we were there they were out of Blueberry Donuts but today they had them so I picked up a bag for Bill, well, for us!

It was pretty hot out this afternoon and I didn’t want to heat up the RV as we received our first electric bill (which we were not expecting) and are making an effort to have a much smaller one next time!

I thawed a small London broil and put it in my marinating dish with an assortment of sauces etc for it to soak in.  When cooking time came around I sliced 2 potatoes in thick wedges and oiled them and put them on the grill long before the London broil.  I kept brushing the meat with marinade to keep it moist while cooking.  Topped it off with a nice salad and, Voila!  Bill really loved the meat, he gradually ate the final pieces as he clean up the table and the dishes!

TV time and we did some planning our exit from CT.

  2. I guess because having 8-10 couples it gets expensive so they pay first $100 each month.
