Better again today!

August 13 – I was supposed to get Bill up at 8 for his allergist appointment but was just exhausted and didn’t get up early like I normally do.  Luckily he managed to wake up and realize I was not doing my job!  He had the leftover waffle and a banana, showered and was out the door at 9 for his 9:30 appointment.

Better today
I moseyed out to the couch and had my coffee and after he left I had one the scones I bought yesterday and was highly disappointed.  So dry, I had to drink with each bite.  Flavor and texture were good but darn, they were choking me.  I put a load a laundry in to fill the grey tank before they come pump us this morning and cleaned Molly’s bathroom.  Finally got dressed and sat down at the computer before I forgot what we did yesterday.

Bill got back at 10:30 and the doctor said all of his tests were fine and his coughing is psychosomatic and that he does it when he thinks about it.  ???  These doctors!!!  He changed into work clothes and went for a bike ride.  We briefly discussed what we want to do today but didn’t make any hard core decisions.

Once the guys pumped our waste tanks Bill got showered and we had some lunch, I did another load of laundry and we headed out for a while.  We went to Meijer and turned in our recyclables for the week.  Slow week now that we’re not on full trash pick up duty, only $14.10 but our total is $72.30.  I didn’t find any money this week since I really wasn’t out there working much.

Doesn't that look good???
We bought a few things and then stopped across the road at a thrift store where Bill got a pair of shorts and we both got some books.  Great prices!  Just up the road is the Hometown Creamery where we stopped and thoroughly enjoyed 2 scoops each of ice cream with our last gift card from Kam.  Boy, was it good!  Should have only had one scoop as 2 was a lot of ice cream.  We know we will be going back there!

We ate a late dinner since we were full of ice cream.  Bill grilled bacon wrapped chicken breast and I roasted some colored heirloom potatoes and made steamed green beans.  The chicken was pretty good, the potatoes needed more roasting and the beans were very good.

After dinner I read for a while and Bill went to the office to use the WIFI and ordered our tickets for the baseball game next week.  Then we listened to the radio a while .
