Getting ready for the 4th!

July 3 – Early day today, 9 – 1.  It was hotter out today and the guys came in frequently to cool off.  Last week they put in a small window AC in the office and we have sliding glass windows so we can close off our corner and stay cool.  The Rec Hall has no AC but ceiling vent fans, tons of windows and several other floor fans to keep things cooler but nothing like our little AC unit. 

We had some phone calls and checked in the first campers of 30 arriving today for the weekend.  We updated the info sheet of weekend activities, so we kept busy during our 4 hours.  It went fast.

After Bill showered and we had a quick lunch we went to Manchester to the movie, making a couple of stops on the way.  I told Pam I’d pick up some things needed in the office from Staples so we did that before the movie.  We saw “Tammy”.  Although it was funny, it was just plain stupid!  I don’t understand why they write movies that exhibit people to be so truly stupid.  The afternoon crowd was small and we had our choice of seats. 

We made a McD’s stop and I managed to get several days posted and look at some motels for our “trip” to Maine next week.  Trying to find a cat friendly place.  On the way home we made a short stop at Wal-Mart to pick up my prescription and a couple of things for our Independence Day lunch tomorrow.  Since we work 5 – 9 we will have our celebration meal for lunch.

We dropped of the office supplies at the office and drove the park to see all the campers set up.  Everyone was expecting early rain but luckily it didn’t start until much later.  We had a really late dinner and then the rains came and the cable got bad and the wifi was turned off so we ended the evening reading.
