July 5 – The sun is out and the
rain is gone and the campers are very happy today! I baked a new recipe of cookies so I can take
some to Polly next week and I marked all of the lighthouses in Maine on the map so we
can try to see as many as possible.
Researched some boat tours out of Bar Harbor
and think we decided on a pet friendly motel.
We worked 1 – 5 today and it was
busy. Sold a lot of ice and Bill and Ron
filled our ice freezer twice! The kids
were out enjoying the Slip n Slide and there was afternoon BINGO. Bill and Ron took turns supervising the Slip
n Slide and Ron even took a turn on it! We
also sold a lot of inflatable tubes and water shoes. The shift went fast and later Ron and Barbara picked us up at 6 to go
to dinner. We went to “Someplace
Special” in Putnam. They have eaten
there before and liked it and Kam had sent Bill a gift card there. It was very good and we sat outside and
enjoyed the early evening rainless weather and people watched and told
stories. Ron gave us a short tour of
Putnam and we stopped for ice cream on the way home. I was good at dinner: baked scallops, green beans and a salad. Oh, we did share an order of calamari so I
didn’t have too much. Now Bill on the
other hand had a huge calzone and a salad.
I give up!
