Captains
Log September 20 – Today's adventure in the park was to drive the
24 miles to theMy best buddy with the Watchtower
East Entrance and work our way back. We had 6
designated stops to make and a couple that have pull offs but are not
noted on the map.
We
started at Desert View Watchtower which was rather crowded. There is
quite a bit to see there and they have a Market and Deli store there,
a trading post and nice restroom facilities. Of course Melissa and
I continued to take a lot of photos at each stop. We went to Navajo
Point, Lipan Point, Looks sculpted
Moran Point and Buggein, where we attempted to
find a picnic table but nothing was available. We then hit Grandview
Point where there were no tables available, so we parked along the
wall and sat on the wall and enjoyed our lunch.
Another awesome day at the South Rim!
