June 8 - Back to the Grind

At the Entrance Station

Today Ron was back and he took me to the Entrance station to train more. I actually did all the transactions and he left for lunch and I was officially on my own. He relieved me for lunch and I had to balance out and turn over the register and it balanced perfectly. I picked Bill up for lunch and then we both worked in the VC the afternoon. I was back at the bookstore register and he greeted visitors and ran the video and answered questions. I think we pretty much have the hang of it now. It is nice meeting people from all over. Bill gets busy chatting and forgets to turn the video on. Oops.

We had fresh tilapia for dinner with potatoes and green beans that I made a couple days ago so they wouldn’t go bad. Then we took Xena for a walk but only saw 2 deer. I took my first trip to the entrance station tonight to use the internet there. It works so much better than using the dial up. There’s only one cord so Kam will send me another one so we can both go and use both laptops. I left there just after 9 and there were still 7 cars of people fishing on the bridge to the island. I saw 5 deer along the way home.

Shared a bag of popcorn with Bill and got on Dell, but she’s still doing the same cutting off thing she did, so I won’t ship it again, will just suffer through til we go home or send it back to Ocoee with someone who comes to visit.
