Driving, not singing, in the rain....

June 6 – I slept really well last night as I was exhausted.   I was up at 7:15 but didn’t wake Bill.  This was to be one of our longer travel days, no stops, just driving.  Once he was up it didn’t take long to have breakfast and unhook the water and electric.

We ran in and out of rain most of the day.  Some was pretty heavy but mostly showers as we drove though.  We planned our lunch stop with a fuel fill but the Love’s we stopped at was packed with tractor trailers.  There were no pull thru spots for us so we filled up and drove to the next exit and parked in a mall parking lot and had lunch.  There was a Cracker Barrel in the lot next to us and there were 3 Rv’s there, I guess having lunch out!

From there it was just driving to our stop for the night in Slidell, LA.  We had checked on a Wal-mart that allowed overnight parking as any campgrounds in the area were 15-20 miles off the road and I don’t like taking the time going that far off the highway for just overnight.

We had a time change and picked up an hour so once we parked we got to relax a bit.  I started my journal for blogging and caught up the checkbook and set up my expense spreadsheet.  We cleaned up some of our leftovers then walked over to the Wal-mart and bought a few fresh veggies and fruit.
