Resting day

August 22 – Happy Birthday Dad!  My dad is 87 today!  I mailed him a package of snack goodies that we hope he will enjoy. 

We slept in and after breakfast we did some housework.  I did more work on the computer and made some reservations for the trip home.  We decided to go to southern Idaho tomorrow over night or maybe 2 nights.  I made a reservation at a motel that allows cats so Molly is going with us.

After lunch we showered and went into West Yellowstone

for a while.  We found 2 more of the painted buffalo statues but did not find the place that was recommended for Bill to get his hair cut.

We did some Christmas shopping and checked out a shop that is closing at the end of the season.  No super bargains but we got a few things. 

Once we got home I was back on the computer while Bill watched TV.  Then he got a call from the park owner asking if he could come help him so off he went.  I baked potatoes and sautéed boneless pork chops in some of my peach white balsamic vinegar and then reduced it for a sauce.  It was yummy!  We had some squash for the veggie!  He had considered having dinner in West Yellowstone but since we are going out of town we figured we better eat in tonight.

I packed part of my clothes and put a load of wash in.  We watched “Hell on Wheels” and then read up on that this is the last season!  Crap, I think we are the black widows of TV shows.
