Boring couple of days

June 30 – Not much going on today. I worked in the office from 9 – 1. It was my busiest day yet, 89 passes. The entire park is pretty booked this whole week. Bill picked me up and had my salad ready. After lunch we both sat in our recliners and read and napped, but we had 3 different people knock on our door from camp and Bill got up for each one.

Bill got showered while I took Xena on a loop walk. It was still really hot out. Then we headed to Bayfield to check it out and have dinner. It’s a nice town with a small historic main street. We ate at La Casita. The salsa was very good but the rest was not too impressive. Don’t plan to go back there.

We talked to Carole on the way home. They’ve been working on their pool and some painting. We’re looking forward to having them visit us here in August.
We did a TP check and hurried back to watch the new Charlie Sheen show. Time for more TV and maybe some reading.

July 1 - Another day to work in the office. We got up and walked the loop before I made breakfast of blueberry waffles, bacon, fruit and eggs for Bill. Since I work til 1 and don’t take a snack I make sure I eat enough to last. I just drink a small bottle of water while I’m working.

Today was not as busy as yesterday. I sold 59 passes and balanced with no problems. I was actually finished balancing 10 minutes before time for Bill to pick me up. I thought after lunch I would need to help him rake site since we had 19 leaving but since there are no fire pits to clean, he had them all done. So I lazed around a while and then decided to tackle my dining table. It was swiveling around and leaning so I knew it needed tightening somewhere. I decided I’d have to unbolt it from the floor and see if there was a bolt through the column to tighten and luckily there was. I did several turns and it seemed pretty tight so Bill turned the table back up and I bolted it back down and it’s sturdy as new.

I’m back to making scrubbies as I get bored watching TV, or being on the computer or reading after a while so I cut up some net and started making some for the ladies in the office and the other 2 host ladies. Maybe I’ll even give the guys each one for their boats and trucks. Next time we’re at Wal-Mart I will get some more colors. Only have 3 to work with right now.

I took out some swai for dinner and decided to make risotto and steamed broccoli to go with it. I baked the swai with some Badia seasoning and lemon slices but Bill didn’t like it. He only had a couple of bites of his but he doubled up on the risotto and broccoli. For dessert I had sliced strawberries and made shortcakes using slices of the pound cake I made Friday I think.

We did our usual Xena walk and turned reservations, but it was a slow night after the weekend. We watched some TV and read.
