OK, now the hum drum boring days are starting

Natural gas drilling rig next door to us
June 5 – I didn’t sleep very well last night.  Not sure why.  Terry was by at 8:30 and I was in my pj’s and Bill was in the shower.  He collected the money for the wood we sold.  I asked him is he had anything for us to work on today and he said we worked too fast.  I told him we were going into Ignacio this morning then and he said go on and have a good time.  So once we had breakfast and got ready we drove the 17 miles to town.  I wanted to get the band on my southwest watch replaced and we had seen a jewelry/gift store next to the grocery when we drove through.  She didn’t have the exact size in stock but she is ordering it and will call when it comes in.  It’s on the way to Durango so we can stop the next time through.  We also checked out the pawn shop but nothing of interest to us.  The grocery is small, it’s Shur Fine and the prices are pretty high.  Nice to have a market that close though.  We only got some produce that was a decent price and bread and milk.

On the way home we drove thru Allison where there was a sign for a welding shop.  That’s only 5 miles from us so Bill can take the bike rack in and see if he can repair it.
Once I put the few groceries away I hung a new hook in the bedroom for Bill’s jacket.  I tightened the handles on the shower and bathroom sink, and watered my plants.  I took chicken out for dinner so got out my folder of test recipes to see if there was a chicken one to try.  I am hoping to get through some of them and either pitch them or put them on cards for my recipe box when I get home.
Terry came back with replacement wood bundles and asked Bill if he could mow the grass in our camp tomorrow.  That’s right up his alley.  Our 3 guests do not leave tomorrow so there will be no sites to clean and that will give him something to do besides read or watch TV.  Yippee!  The repairman is supposed to come for the washer tomorrow, so I want to stick close to home.  If he comes in the AM and can’t repair it I need to go do a couple loads of wash in the afternoon.
Houseboat about to be launched
I made a baked chicken recipe for dinner seasoned with lemon juice, fresh parsley and fresh rosemary, It was OK, but nothing special.  I roasted cauliflower slices seasoned with marjoram, balsamic vinegar and fresh parmesan cheese and it was pretty good.  Then we each had a biscuit, so it was a really white dinner, not so pleasing to the eye but satisfying to the taste buds.  After we walked Xena we read until the new season of Rizzoli and Isles came on.  It’s at 7:00 here, so at 8 we took Xena with us in the Mule up to take photos and watch them put a houseboat from dry dock in the lake.  The mosquitoes were getting the best of us so we gave up and came home.  We finished off the rhubarb crisp so might have to make more tomorrow.
Bill went to bed a little early and I finished working on 4 more contracts for work and did my blog.  Left a little time for reading, hoping to finish my book tonight.  Our thermostat said it was 88 out today but didn't feel like it with the breeze.
