September 10 - Enjoying Sunset King Lake

What a nice relaxing morning. Although I was up early for me, 7:15, we lazed around a bit, did my back exercises and Bill did them too for his shoulder. Then we went to have breakfast at the resort’s restaurant and go for a long walk. Bill had the fatty special of 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns and rye toast. I had a single biscuit with gravy and when we got back had a small banana. We washed the worst dirt streak from the awning and it looks much better but think I need something with a bit of bleach in it. Still doing a few minor tweeks to the RV and getting things put away. The problem is remembering where they were put.

We both showered in the bathhouse, which is only a few feet from us. I decided to be a nice wife and not use our shower so Bill wouldn’t have to hook up the poop hose til we get to New Orleans. The bathhouse has totally separate bathrooms, just like home. Each room has a shower, bench, toilet, vanity and mirror. I made sure I got one that was freshly cleaned and it was nice. Fixed sandwiches for lunch and then we headed into “town”. Stopped at Chautauqua Winery which we have seen several times when we were here before and in Florala. I tasted 4 wines and bought bottles of 2. I know there will be days I’m gonna need a glass or two, or three. Then we went into Lowes for the silicone to fix the scrape and get a bottle of Goof Off. Boy that is good stuff for removing so many things. Did a quick run into Wal-Mart as it was starting to rain and looking like it might really blow up a storm and we left the awning out. All we need is to have it blown off! Then went into Walgreens and I got my flu shot. Bill got his before we left home.

Tried to take a nap, but I’m just not a good napper. Bill sat outside and read a while as I caught up on 2 days of emails. Finally decided it was time to fix dinner: pork chops, broccoli and finally the last of the potato salad. It started getting dark out so we left the dishes to go walk Xena and let me take some photos and video since we’re leaving tomorrow. Boy, what a nice night out. When we got back we sat out under the awning and visited with neighbors from NC.

Came in and had Hob Nobs and applesauce for dessert/snack and Bill finished up the dishes and I started working on the blog. Guess I should have written more down, will have to email Kam for info. About bedtime so want to read a page or two.
