September 12 – We left Hazen this morning on our way to Winfield. Nothing exciting but lots of heavy traffic along the way. So many big trucks!
We parked at a campground
attached to a RV repair shop. The owner
used to work for Tiffin in Red Bay and built his place and got several of his
co-workers to come work for him. They
are very nice people.
The odd thing is there were 2
rows of sites, 10 on each side and you pulled in instead of backed in as the utilities
are at the front of the space on the left.
We were told that when they designed it they were planning on a lot of
Class A rigs pulling in. Well, there were
only 2 Class A’s and the rest were travel trailers and 5th
wheels. They were backed in but left the
end vacant so they were closer to the hook ups.
They were running very long water hoses and extensions of the power and several
sections of black water hoses. They also
had a guy who was putting in the utilities behind us for the next section and
we were told they were going to be traditional sites!
