The Beanbag Baseball game we made |
I did some straightening up and tried to
find homes for things that make it rather cluttered in here. I would just sit a bit here and there til my
stomach would settle. Drank a lot of
7-up! I sat outside and read for a while
as it was a nice day out. Then Bill and
I played our first game of Beanbag Baseball.
Of course he won, 6-2. It must
have been due to my feeling poorly. Then
we decided to ride our bikes and my chain guard apparently had gotten bent when
Bill’s bike was damaged so we corrected the problem and the chain kept falling
off because the sprocket got bent again.
Bill said it was time for me to get a new bike. We checked my tire size compared to his and
they are the same so we think we can use my wheels on his bike but he has new
tires so will trade them when I find a new bike to my liking.
It’s a good thing we had some leftovers to
choose from since I really didn’t feel much like cooking. We had leftover potato salad, a tossed salad
and shredded pork. For dessert we shared
a small dark chocolate bar. After dinner
I thought I could manage to walk the loop so we headed out. One of the campers asked us how to clean the
yellow catfish he caught. Bill
remembered catching the same kind as a kid but not how to clean them. I had never seen a yellow catfish. He told us he fished from the shore and
where, so now we have a tentative spot for this weekend. We had 3 new campers come in today and will
have about 20 for the weekend. That’s
not too bad. Bill matched up the catfish
guy with one of the new campers who said he could show him how to clean
them. I guess they peel the skin off and
filet them. Hope Bill was paying
attention!
I have to water my plants every day since
it’s so dry and windy. Not a sprout showing yet, and I will get a couple more
herb plants tomorrow. Bill said we
should stock up on lotion when we go into Durango tomorrow. We both lotion multiple times a day. We can’t recall having this much dry skin
when we were out west before and in Tucson
for 2 weeks.
One of the swallow nests |
I think Bill will wait to clean the 1 site
that will vacate tomorrow after we get home.
No one has it rented so there is no rush. We will stop at the post office on the way to
mail some things and to pick up the new grocery ads. They come in the daily paper and a free
weekly publication so I’m all for that freebie unless Bill wants to get a
paper. I organized my coupons so I’m
good to go!
